The galvanizing process mainly includes hot-dip galvanizing and cold galvanizing (electro galvanizing). Hot dip galvanizing is the process of placing the object to be plated into a molten zinc solution and forming a zinc layer through diffusion and other principles. Cold galvanizing uses electrolytic equipment to deposit zinc ions on the surface of the workpiece in a solution containing zinc salts, with the workpiece as the cathode and the zinc plate as the anode, under the action of current.

Galvanized materials have an irreplaceable position in many industries due to their diverse types, reliable protective performance, and constantly developing process advantages

Let's take a look at the common types of galvanized materials:

Galvanized steel pipe

This involves immersing the steel pipe in molten zinc solution to attach a layer of zinc to the surface of the steel pipe. In the field of construction, such as building scaffolding, galvanized steel pipes are widely used due to their good corrosion resistance and relatively light weight. In irrigation systems, it can resist the erosion of soil moisture and some minor chemicals, thereby extending its service life.

Galvanized steel sheet

Galvanized steel sheet is made through hot-dip galvanizing process. In automobile manufacturing, the use of galvanized steel plates for the body shell can to some extent resist corrosion from the external environment, especially when driving in humid or high salt environments. In the field of electrical manufacturing, such as refrigerator casings, galvanized steel plates can not only protect internal circuits from external corrosion, but also enhance the appearance quality.

Galvanized wire

Galvanized wire is a process of hot-dip galvanizing steel or iron wire. In the power industry, the corrosion resistance of ground wires or guy wires used for overhead lines ensures the stability of the lines in different environments. It is also applied in the production of steel mesh in the construction industry, which can prevent rusting of steel bars and affect the safety of building structures.

Galvanized bolts and nuts

These fasteners play an important role in the assembly of mechanical equipment after hot-dip galvanizing. In the installation of large outdoor equipment, such as cranes in ports, galvanized bolts and nuts can resist the erosion of sea winds and ensure the firmness of equipment connections. In terms of building structural connections, the durability of the overall structure has also been improved.

Galvanized mesh sheet

The mesh formed by hot-dip galvanizing of metal wires has applications in multiple fields. In terms of screening, such as ore screening in mining, galvanized mesh is not easy to rust and can ensure the long-term stability of screening work. As a protective net in the breeding farm, it can prevent animals from escaping while also resisting wind, rain, and a certain degree of chemical pollution.

Galvanized products

After galvanization treatment, the durability of steel fittings in pipeline systems is improved. In plumbing systems, whether installed indoors or outdoors, it can prevent water leakage or damage at the pipe joints due to rust.
