Types of Galvanized Steel Plate/Sheet/Strip

Hot Dip Galvanized Steel Sheet: Immersed in molten zinc to form a thick, protective layer.

Electro-Galvanized Steel Sheet: Coated with a thinner layer of zinc using an electric current.

Alloy Galvanized Steel Sheet: Heated after hot-dip galvanizing to form a zinc-iron alloy coating, enhancing adhesion and weldability.

Single-Sided and Double-Sided Differential Galvanized Steel Sheets: Coated on one or both sides, with the latter having a thin layer of zinc on the other side to improve adaptability in welding, painting, and anti-rust treatment.

Common galvanized steel product grades include:

  1. DX51D+Z, DX52D+Z, DC51D+Z, DC52D+Z: Used for general purposes and ordinary stamping. The DX series is for cold forming, and the DC series is for cold - rolled substrates.

  2. S220GD+Z, S250GD+Z, S280GD+Z, S320GD+Z, S350GD+Z, S550GD+Z: Used for structural steel and have different yield strengths.

  3. SPCC, SPCD, SPCE: Japanese JIS standards, used for general purposes, stamping, and deep - drawing respectively.

  4. ST12, ST13, ST14, ST15, ST16: Cold - rolled product grades, used for stamping requirements at different depths.

  5. Q195, Q215, Q235: Chinese GB standards, used for ordinary carbon structural steel.
